Hamburg, Germany had its first ever “Crandell Invaision”  today,   Sonntag,  30 Juni 3013.  We arrieved tired & grumpy after traveling .  We caught the local S-Baun Train and went to downtown Hamburg for coffee in a large department store while charging phones and using the Wi-Fi to access the internet.  In the city center they have tourist boats to explore the ocean access water channels.  This has always been a sea port for fishermen and cargo ships.  The town is upscale and consists of five defferent local neighborhood and shopping areas.  It was drizeling rain & overcast so we stayed in the coffee shop until it was time to find our designated live in fsmily when we are in German language school.

We took the S-Baun train to the location to look for host family.  We lookod and looked by walking down the name steets.  Then looked more until Rex gavebup walked into a hotel  politely asked hotel clerk to please call the host family to rescue us.  We recieved  updated location information.   And the
host mother agreed to walk toward our direction to find us, which she did.  We happily connected with our host family late.  We got settled down to our new week long lodgeing.  We really like our host family, house ans neighbor hood.  We think the security on the bay area BART trains is more controlling, demanding, & militaristic than we experienced in Hamburg.

Another observation is that there are big unauthorizes grafetti stains spray painted on  the Homberg train overpasses, concret walls, and elseware visible from the train be not whan walking around on the streets (strasse).  It was way more artistic than the grafitti back home.   Green and growing in June.  It is very green in Homburg.  There is a lot of biologic enthisiam occuring in the dirt. It is alot like Seattle and Washington State in der USA.

We took a walk in the evening go force our selves to stay awake until 10 PM so that tomorrow we can be recovered from jet lag and not be tired.  Homburg is 8 hours ahead of the time zone back home.  7 AM in Homberg, Germany is 10 PM in California.
