With public spending making up a huge 57% of the economy in France, who can effectively argue that the behemoth government is not stifling employment and business growth.

The French government and people would like businesses to higher more French workers.
.
The problem is that the politicians previously bought votes from workers and the overly powerful French unions by taking away rights of businesses to lay off workers when business slows down or when the worker is not productive. So the politions gave more rights in employment situations than even the owners of the businesses have.
.
After the business created an economic engine with their own effort, capital and risk, the workers come along and can not be layed off even in an economic down turn which has the effect of shifting the unemployment burden of the country to the private businesses.
.
Then the government and unions wonder why companies do not want to higher more workers when the workers are a long term liability of the company.
.
You can not cut off the head of the ‘ goose that lays the Golden Eggs’ and expect to get much in the way of future ‘Golden Eggs’. In the European Union only Denmark and Poland ‘allow’ businesses to hire and fire workers based on business reasons instead of corrupt political and alleged ‘democratic’ reasons.

The current economic downturn is caused by rhe huge percentage of ‘baby boomers’ born between 1946 and 1964. The ‘baby boomers’ are now older, cutting back their expenses and retiring. Previously the baby boomers created an engine for growrh for goods and services.

Currently the demographics have changed and the ‘now spending less’ ‘baby boomers’ have put the brakes on the EU and USA economies.
.
The media and politions do not seem to understand this economic fact and are proposing all kinds of useless programs to create jobs that will not work because they never drilled down to the actual cause of the problem. Instead they focus on the symptoms of the problem and wonder why their alleged efforts to ‘stimulate the economy’ ends up having no impact whatsoever.

The stifling effect the French governmental regulations have on its businesses is so bad that their national monument tower in Paris should be renamed “The STIFLE TOWER”.

Socialists ,Communists and Big Government Advocates are rapidly slipping and falling down (on their lazy asses) at the French Ballot Boxes all over the country.

Within the last six years the French President Sarkozy wanted to help French business owners grow the economy by proposing a law that would allow businesses to lay off or fire workers who were under the age of twenty-six. Sounds logical but the socialist-communist leaning French unions called a protest strike that shut down trains and the Paris Airport for three days thus holding the entire country in a condition of extortion until the proposal was withdrawn.

So if France continues its anti-business “cool culture” policies then this unsustainable concept will cause France to have high unemployment and the people can buy all of their formally French made products from China.

Governments and unions do not produce anything. They are parasitic by nature existing off the productive life blood of their countries productive and capital risking business owners.

This concept may not be understood until France runs its economy into the ground while tryng to preserve its unsustainable ‘cool’ life style.

A super star singer from Italy. She sings in Italian, Spanish and English. She grew up singing with her father who frequently performed in bars and clubs in Bologna, Italy when she was growing up. Her music career spans 20 years so far.

She was surprised early in her career when her songs went to the top of the Europeam music charts becsuse the lyrics were in Italian and everyone in Northern Europe does not speak Italian. She enunciates clearly while illustrating every word with emotion in line with Italian ways of communicating. when singing. How can anyone not have any fillings in their mouth? I have most of her albums and can listen to them over and over for hours.

In her early carreer she concentrated more on her music and presentation and de emphasized her natural femininity, beauty and sexiness. Then when planning her professional growth as an internatial music star, made a career decision to allow her images to be more glamorous and sexy.

Viña del Mar is a the location of the huge annual latin music event that is held just outside the City of Valparaiso, Chile. The location is more than an hour away from the very modern Capital City of Santiago. Viña del Mar is on the Pacific Ocean coast with its natural beaches and boat habors. Since Chile is so geografically vertical they use a vinicular transportation bus type of transporter vehical that is a cross between a train, a bus and is somewhat like a ski gondola but on train tracks. This vehical moves people and cargo up and down very steep inclines where higher elevation houses, towns and ski resorts high in the Andes Mountains. If you like to snow ski or snowboard in the months of December through April you can also ski in Chili’s southern hemisphere location in the months ofJune, July and August.

I know I’ll never get a chance to step a floating foot on the International Space Station, but I can at least tap into the spectacular views with a new live-streaming video offering from NASA. The High Definition Earth Viewing experiment involves cameras mounted outside the station. It is fed to all us earthlings on the Ustream website.
The stream was supposed to be up and running a few days back, but ran into some technical difficulties. That has now been resolved, and the video is pouring in. The images are fascinating, showing a silently rotating marble of blue below, mottled with clouds.

Occasionally, the image goes gray, which just means it’s switching between cameras. When the image is black, the ISS is on the night side of Earth. All you have to do is wait a little bit for things to lighten back up. There’s no audio because, in space, no one can hear you scream. Just kidding, the no-audio is by design. It’s quiet out there in space. NASA suggests you make up your own soundtrack.
Off to the side of the video feed is a box that contains a social stream of sometimes entertaining comments by other viewers. You might see someone opine about feeling like Sandra Bullock or welcoming everyone to the dark side when the screen goes black.
The video experiment isn’t just for our viewing pleasure. NASA will be keeping an eye on how the space exposure impacts the equipment to help guide decisions on cameras for future missions. No matter the purpose, it’s extremely cool to get a continuous astronaut’s-eye view of our humble planet from on high. End of C/Net story.
