My mom (Juanita Crandell) is going to be cellebrating her 92nd birthday on January 24, 2014. She is in fairly good health. Still has a sharp mind and the ability to walk around with the help of a cane or a walker cart. She has been experiencing less ability to walk much more than a small distances without getting tired. For example, walkimg an entire Safeway grocery store shopping with her daughter is a little more effort needed than she has in her energy supply.
I started looking around for ways for her to gain back some mobility, and this is what I came up with. It is a small four wheel electric scooter.
It can go upto 9 miles on one battery charge and was designed to add mobility to those folks who could not get around so well anymore.
The scooter breaks down into several small pieces so it fits in the smallest of car trunks. Then at the destination it is easily put together then, zoom zoom. She will be moving as fast as most people walk.
I am looking to gather donations so many folks can chip in to buy her this mobility machine as part of her 92nd birthday present. We looked at the scooters at Concord Medical Market last Saturday. I wanted to verify that she could safely operate it. She could operate it well, but I jokingly said she would need to go to the DMV to get a drivers license to operate it.
Concord Medical Market is at (925) 682-7722. 3375 Port Chicago Hwy in Concord, CA. http://www.medmartusa2.com.
She likes the 3 wheel “lite Rider as seen in the above picture. It sells for around $1400 including sales tax.
The next better model is the Lite Rider 4 wheel that sells for around $1500 including sales tax. They both look safe but the 4 wheel may be a bit safer at the cost of some additional weight.
She felt safe with the metal turning wheel in front to act as a crash protection bumper.
This what it looks like when its ready to go in the car trunk.
So, do you want to help this nice lady enjoy some additional mobility?
If yes, you can contact Rex at alchemy@astound.net, or call me at (925) 934-6325 and I call you right back.
How much would you like to donate to make this idea into a reality?
Please let me know right away so we can put this deal together for her.

This is the store that we looked at the scooters. However, they are not acting as a contact point nor are they a collection agent for funds transfering.
Witnesses in the Treat and Oakgrove Road neighborhood reported seeing a U.F.O. at low altitude at just after 8 PM tonight in this rustic suburban area. There was very little sound emanating from the U.F.O. One unconfirmed report indicated they heard a low-frequency grunting or groaning animal noise but they were unsure if the sound came from the U.F.O. or from the nearby fire station.
After a thorough investigation, the local newspaper The Contra Costa Slime determined what happened even before the National Transportation Safety Board NTSB, and the Federal Aviation Administration FAA investigators arrived on the scene.
This amateur photo was taken by an observer when the object landed briefly on Treat Boulevard.
.
.
It was first thought to be a Russian drone flying quietly on an electric motor taking infrared images of possible high value targets in the area.
.
.
Then to the surprise of local witnesses and federal investigators, it was conclusively determined that the U.F.O. (Unidentified Funny Obstruction) was a local cowboy bicycle fanatic bringing home a load of laminate floor boards from his office to be used in the kitchen remodeling project that the good ‘ol boy was werkin on. It was also decided that in this context the term U.F.O. means “U.F.O.” (Unidentified Funny Obstruction) to other traffic on the road with the cowboy bicycle dude.
Why it all turned out to be an optical illusion. What was originally thought to be U.F.O. lights was actually reflective safety materials that the cowboy was using to keep from get in’ run over by them gas guzzling automo-bullets squisher-machines that frequent the roads in where bicycles have equal rights and access to the roads according the California Statutes called the DMV code (Dang Motorized Vehicular Code).
.
.
Well, I don’ know how she did it but the investigative newspaper reporter also found the following images for publication. .Now would ya just look at that?
.
.
.
Well, just look at how nice that there floor is coming along. Just marvelous.
.
.
.
.
Well its was lucky that the UFO cowboy stayed away from the area of Brentwood where a hyper female goat has been reeking havoc on the locales this week.
(“Don’t call me an old goat. Or I’ll bruise your buns”)
.
.
Fortunately, the U.F.O. did not land and violate the local parking ordinance against rail parking durning the morning commute.
.
On the side of the train are written the words “Don’t Run The Risk”. Well I reckon that the Kelly Blue Book value of that van was just reduced more than a nominal sum. Ya think?

… Now, I do not think that I mentioned it above, but the Mighty Thor and Queen Susan are actually a duo team that are super hero’s in their own right. In cyberspace they fight the forces of evil and put any opposing bad guys out of service. The Mighty Thor uses this avatar for his conquering evil activities.
The Mighty Thor is on the right and Queen Susan is on the left.
.
.
And Queen Susan uses the following avatar when she is knocking out some pretty large advisories. Together, they make a wonderful and forceful showing when ever the forces of evil need representation of qualified super hero’s. She does wear a minor disguise in the movies, in that she is depicted with brown hair instead of her normal Nordic blond hair. As you will soon see, she is as fierce in battle as any male warrior.
.
.
See them both in action in the following video that was filmed on location, under ground near Moscow, Russia.
