(Day 1) THE BICYCLE TOUR OF ALL THE OREGON STATE’S COASTAL OCEAN ROADS HAS STARTED on RexAdventure. [28 AUG 14]

This trip is to complete the last leg of a segmented coastal bicycle ride that started in 2009. That was my first ‘Touring Bicycle’ adventure and camping trip. Bicycle Touring is a completely different sport from mountain biking or bicycle road racing.
On three prior bicyle tour segments I had previously completed peddling all of the California coast from the Oregon boarder (above Crescent City) in a southerly direction to the USA – Mexico boarder near Tijuana-San Ysidro.
In 2012, I completed the tour from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada south to the Portland Oregon Airport.
After this Oregon Coast Bicycle Tour to the California boarder has been completed, I will have ridden my bycicle The entire Pacific Coast from Canada to Mexico. That is a lot of fun miles traveled by bicycle.
Bicycle touring covers several days that includes sleeping over during the tour. The sleeping over methods can be at hotels, it can be camping and cooking or my preference is to camp along the way and only rarely stay in hotels. Most state parks charge a wopping Six ($6) US Dollars per night for bicycle travelers, backpackers or hikers. When you arrive by these methods, the camp grounds are never full like they get with ‘Car Campers’.

Car Campers are frequently ‘city slicker’ folks who want to visit nature but usually never farther than a few hundred feet from their gas-guzzeling multi-thousand pound transport cars or pickup trucks.
On the California rides, I used a ‘Bob Bicycle Trailer’ (www.bobgear.com), to carry my bike gear and my camping tent and sleeping bag. On the Vancouver BC Canada to the Portland Oregon tour, I converted my Trek road bicycle to go with two front saddle bags (paniers) and two rear saddle bags. I really like my German made Ortlieb brand sattle bags. They are designed well and are fully waterproof from the elements. It appears they are made with a canvas material that has been treated with waterproofing like a a fabrick known as Hypalon. (www.ortlieb.de)
After delaying to long, I just started planning this trip three days prior to departure by getting a free United Air Lines ‘frequent flyer” program ticket for only $80. Thanks to Kayla, my trusty Commander of Administrative Services for booking the flight.
My two staff members and I tried for several hours to find a rental car from the Portland, Oregon Airport (PDX) to drive one way to Astoria, Oregon that was supposed to cut out the 90 mile bicycle ride from the airport to allow the bicycle peddling to start at Astoria. Astoria, Oregon must be a small town place because no rental car could be found. So that is a bit of a problem because the extra distance (90 miles) will delay the estimated time to peddle accross the California border. I will need to look for alternate transportation to Astoria once I get to Portland.

Early morning at home before leaving home to peddle to the FART Train to San Francisco Airport SFO. (Bay Area Rapid Transit) (it’s not a real gas, but it sounds like a lowd, noisy, squeeling pig when you ride on their BARF trains). The reflectors on my (German Made) Ortlieb saddle bags appear to glow with the camera flash, to warn cars about the location of bicycles (pictured above). It is a nice feature for bicyling safely in the dark.
United Air’s way of doing business is to sell you a ticket with no baggage allowance. When I checked in for the flight, I was required to kick in another $120 for my ckecked in luggage. That worked our $100 for my Trek all aluminum road bike and another $20 twenty bucks for my four saddle bags that were rebagged into one duffel bag at the airport.
I made it to the check-in line on time but got bumped out of line temporarily by the ticket agent (so he could work with people who missed their original flights). This caused me to miss my original flight. Then I had to get a new flight out of San Francisco Airport. Fortunately I was able to get another flight in just two hours later than the first.

I was supposed to remove my bicycle peddles before putting the bicycle in my Arkel travel bag for airline transport. I could not remove the peddles and nothing was damaged on the airline flight from San Francisco to Portland Oregon.

The bicycle after reassembled in Portland Oregon. It’s time to hit the road.
Had problem with the kick stand that took a bit of mechanical creativity to fix.
Landed at Portland Oregon, assembled my bicycle, and went about solving the transport problem. I asked 2 or 3 rental car places if I could rent a car and leave it in Astoria, but they did not offer that service.
An airport worker suggested taking the MAX train to downtown Portland for the Grey Hound-Dog Bus station, which I did after giving up on cars. I took the MAX train Red Line until the ‘Rose / Moda / Convention Center’ the the MAX Yellow Line Train to downtown Portland

After reaching downtown Portland on the Max Train, I rode my bicycle the rest of a few blocks to the Grey Hound-Dog bus station (GreyHound). They sold me a $18 ticket from Portland to Astoria.
The service rep. could not answer if I had to paper box my bike for the ride or not. If I got the wrong answer, I would not be allowed on the bus and wouda been stuckaroo in Portland and wasted a valuable day.
I called back to my office and my talented paralegal, Tamara went to work and got the answer in short order like she always does. She can find any law or anything else with her research skills. I found that I did not need to box my bicycle but it cost $5 more for an add on ticket and only 3 bicycles are aloud for each bus trip. I went a few doors down to the Amtrak station and did the deal.

I took the bus to Astoria and rested on the ride. They make you stow your own bicycle in the cargo belly of the bus. I think the do-it-yourself-cargo-placement could have been put in effect so that only you touched your bicycle so you can only blame yourself if is damaged enroute. Fine with me.

A few minutes ago I got settled into my lodging in Astoria, Oregon at the Washington State border. (Thursday 28 August 2014 at 21:40 hrs, up since 04:00 hrs). I stayed at the recently upgraded, Norblad Hotel and Hostel. 433 -14th street, Astoria 97183. (503) 325-6989. It worked out well for me.

A preliminary magnitude 6.0 earthquake rocked the San Francisco Bay Area early Sunday morning, centered in the Napa County town of American Canyon, but felt across Northern California.
The Napa County region is reporting the worst damage so far, reports CBS San Francisco. Aftershocks in the area have been reported since the quake initially struck overnight.
Officials there so far have reported dozens of injuries. Reuters reports at least two of them were serious, although details are still coming in.
The Napa city government told Reuters there were 50 gas main breaks and 30 water main leaks. It is not clear yet how bad the damage from the water main breaks has been. Locals have told CBS San Francisco in some neighborhoods the smell of gas persists.
Napa City Councilmember Peter Mott reports the library and the historic Chinese laundry building suffered significant damage, and bricks and glass are scattered across downtown sidewalks on Second and Third Streets. There are also reports of damage to numerous other buildings in the area.

“There’s collapses, fires,” Napa Fire Capt. Doug Bridewell told the Associated Press. “That’s the worst shaking I’ve ever been in.”
Bridewell, who said he had to climb over fallen furniture in his own home to check on his family before reporting to duty, said he was starting to see more reports of injuries.
At least four homes in the mobile home park in Napa have burned down, and two more are believed to still be on fire.

San Francisco Chronicle reporter Will Kane reports firefighters struggled to control the blaze because of a water main break.
This was the largest quake to hit the Bay Area since the 6.9 magnitude quake hit Loma Prieta in 1989.
Leslie Gordon of the U.S. Geological Survey told the Associated Press the tremor struck at just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday. The epicenter was about six miles southwest of Napa, California, and about 50 miles west-southwest of Sacramento.
Jessica Turner of the U.S. Geological Survey told CBS San Francisco aftershocks of up to 5.0 are likely in the next week. There is only a 5 percent chance of a stronger quake during the next week. Already 25 aftershocks have rocked the region.

The USGS said the depth of the earthquake was just less than seven miles.
“A quake of that size in a populated area is of course widely felt throughout that region,” Randy Baldwin, a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey in Golden, Colorado, told the Associated Press. “The 6.0 is a sizeable quake for this area. It’s a shallow quake.”
Throughout the region, locals have reported the quake was felt as a long, rolling, shaking motion with several peaks of movement lasting for an extended time.
The California Highway Patrol reports some power outages.
The CHP is closing a bridge on Highway 37 in Vallejo while they inspect it for possible damage.
Widespread power outages are impacting Napa, and there are reports of minor damage across the region, mainly items falling off kitchen shelves and stores with broken bottles.
Callers to local radio stations and locals checking in on social media reported a significant shaking motion in the city of Napa, lasting for an extended time.
People as far away as the South Bay and Davis reported being woken up by the quake, which was centered 6.7 miles beneath Earth’s surface.
Sonoma County also reported significant effects from the quake. The shaking was especially strong there because of the nature of the land being on alluvial gravel, sand and silt deposits, reports CBS San Francisco.
“Now that was a real earthquake,” exclaimed San Francisco Sunset district resident Matt Wandell.

The White House said President Obama, who is returning from an often-interrupted two-week vacation today, has been briefed on the earthquake. A White House spokesperson said, “federal officials are in touch with state and local responders and the President will continue to receive updates.”

REYKJAVIK – Icelandic authorities early Sunday registered the strongest earthquake so far at the Bardarbunga volcano in the south-east, where activity increased a week ago, and maintained a red alert warning for aviation.
The magnitude 5.3 earthquake was the largest seismic activity in the past week, and the largest at Bardarbunga since 1996, geophysicist Gunnar Gudmundsson at the Icelandic Meteorological Office told dpa.
Airspace in an area around the volcano, situated under the Vatnajokull glacier, remained closed. The red alert level designation – issued Saturday – means that an eruption is imminent or ongoing and that “significant emission of ash” into the atmosphere is likely.
Hundreds of earthquakes have been registered during the past week.

Gudmundsson said researchers monitoring the area were uncertain whether an eruption would occur or where magma would surface, if it did.
A surveillance flight over the glacier on Saturday did not reveal any signs of activity at the surface of the glacier, the Met Office said.
Airports remained open.
Authorities have however ordered the evacuation of areas north of the Vatnajokull glacier amid fears that an eruption could melt the glacier, causing severe flooding.
In addition to flooding, ash produced by an eruption of Bardarbunga could also halt air traffic across wide parts of Europe, depending on wind and atmospheric conditions.
A 2010 eruption of a volcano under the Eyjafjallajokull glacier disrupted air travel for several weeks. Tourism to Iceland, which has about 30 active volcanoes, was also affected.

BREAKING: Actor-comedian Robin Williams Found Dead

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Officials are investigating the death of Oscar-winning actor Robin Williams.
Williams was 63.
The Marin County Sheriff’s Office said that Williams was found unconscious Monday afternoon at about 12:00 p.m. inside his residence in unincorporated Tiburon in Marin County, north of San Francisco.
Officials suspect the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia, but a comprehensive investigation must be completed before a final determination is made. An investigation into the cause, manner, and circumstances of the death is currently underway by the Investigations and Coroner Divisions of the Sheriff’s Office, officials said.
Investigators said that Williams was last seen alive at his residence, where he resides with his wife at approximately 10:00 pm on Sunday.
“This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings,” said Susan Schneider.
“I am utterly heartbroken.”
Williams came to the Bay Area as a teen and attended Redwood High School in Larkspur then studied theater at the College of Marin. Williams owned a home in San Francisco’s Sea Cliff neighborhood.
“Despite his success, he has never forgotten San Francisco. He was a philanthropist who gave generously, and he was a friend of the City,” said San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee.
“San Francisco is heartbroken by the tragic loss of Robin Williams who forever changed the world with laughter and joy. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time of mourning.”
The actor was often spotted in public with his three children, Zelda Rae Williams, Cody Alan Williams, Zachary Pym Williams, throughout the Bay Area. He recently posted a photo on Instagram of himself holding his daughter, Zelda Rae.

Williams has been open about the challenges of maintaining sobriety. He sought treatment in 2006 when he relapsed and returned to drinking after 20 years.
He had been battling severe depression recently. On July 1st, Williams visited the 12-step program at a Minnesota facility to recharge after more than 18 straight months of work, according to his publicist.
Mara Buxbaum said Williams was “taking the opportunity to fine-tune and focus on his continued commitment, of which he remains extremely proud.”
From his breakthrough in the late 1970s as the alien in the hit TV show “Mork and Mindy,” through his standup act and such films as “Good Morning, Vietnam,” the short, barrel-chested Williams ranted and shouted as if just sprung from solitary confinement. Loud, fast, manic, he parodied everyone from John Wayne to Keith Richards, impersonating a Russian immigrant as easily as a pack of Nazi attack dogs.

Williams starred in the CBS series “The Crazy Ones” and the film “The Angriest Man in Brooklyn,” which was released in May. He had several other projects in the works, including another installment of “Night at the Museum.”
He was a riot in “Mrs. Doubtfire,” or as a cartoon genie in “Aladdin.” He won his Academy Award in a rare, but equally intense dramatic role, as a teacher in the 1997 film “Good Will Hunting.”
He was no less on fire in interviews. During a 1989 chat with The Associated Press, he could barely stay seated in his hotel room, or even mention the film he was supposed to promote, as he free-associated about comedy and the cosmos.
“There’s an Ice Age coming,” he said. “But the good news is there’ll be daiquiris for everyone and the Ice Capades will be everywhere. The lobster will keep for at least 100 years, that’s the good news. The Swanson dinners will last a whole millennium. The bad news is the house will basically be in Arkansas.”
Following Williams on stage, Billy Crystal once observed, was like trying to top the Civil War. In a 1993 interview with the AP, Williams recalled an appearance early in his career on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.” Bob Hope was also there.
“It was interesting,” Williams said. “He was supposed to go on before me and I was supposed to follow him, and I had to go on before him because he was late. I don’t think that made him happy. I don’t think he was angry, but I don’t think he was pleased.
“I had been on the road and I came out, you know, gassed, and I killed and had a great time. Hope comes out and Johnny leans over and says, ‘Robin Williams, isn’t he funny?’ Hope says, ‘Yeah, he’s wild. But you know, Johnny, it’s great to be back here with you.’”
In 1992, Carson chose Williams and Bette Midler as his final guests.
Like so many funnymen, he had serious ambitions, winning his Oscar for his portrayal of an empathetic therapist in “Good Will Hunting.” He also played for tears in “Awakenings,” ”Dead Poets Society” and “What Dreams May Come,” something that led New York Times critic Stephen Holden to once say he dreaded seeing the actor’s “Humpty Dumpty grin and crinkly moist eyes.”
Winner of a Grammy in 2003 for best spoken comedy album, “Robin Williams — Live 2002,” he once likened his act to the daily jogs he took across the Golden Gate Bridge. There were times he would look over the edge, one side of him pulling back in fear, the other insisting he could fly.
“You have an internal critic, an internal drive that says, ‘OK, you can do more.’ Maybe that’s what keeps you going,” Williams said. “Maybe that’s a demon. … Some people say, ‘It’s a muse.’ No, it’s not a muse! It’s a demon! DO IT YOU BASTARD!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! THE LITTLE DEMON!!”
A forensic examination is currently scheduled for August 12, 2014 with subsequent toxicology testing to be conducted.

If it were apparently a suicide by suffocation, but the coroner investigate it yet. Recently the actor was seen alive late on Sunday evening.
Williams, who was 63 years old on July 21, had spent his birthday because of alcohol problems in a rehab clinic in Minnesota. Since 2006, he fought constantly with relapses, after he had lived for 20 years abstinent. Williams suffered from depression, as his spokeswoman Mara Buxbaum confirmed Monday.

Robins wife Susan Schneider now published a press statement in which she writes: “This morning I have my husband and my best friend and the world lost one of its most popular actors and amiable people.” On behalf of the family asked for restraint during the mourning period. “I hope the memories will not dominate his death, but the countless moments of fun and laughter, he gave millions.”
Williams was married to graphic designer since October 2011. From two previous marriages three children come.
Williams was among other things by the television series “Mork and Mindy” fame. He took the 1998 Oscar for best supporting role in the film “Good Will Hunting”. Three times he was also nominated as Best Actor for the prestigious film award, for “Good Morning, Vietnam,” “The Dead Poets Society” and “The Fisher King”.

BREAKING: Actor-comedian Robin Williams Found Dead

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Officials are investigating the death of Oscar-winning actor Robin Williams.
Williams was 63.
The Marin County Sheriff’s Office said that Williams was found unconscious Monday afternoon at about 12:00 p.m. inside his residence in unincorporated Tiburon in Marin County, north of San Francisco.
Officials suspect the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia, but a comprehensive investigation must be completed before a final determination is made. An investigation into the cause, manner, and circumstances of the death is currently underway by the Investigations and Coroner Divisions of the Sheriff’s Office, officials said.
Investigators said that Williams was last seen alive at his residence, where he resides with his wife at approximately 10:00 pm on Sunday.
“This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings,” said Susan Schneider.
“I am utterly heartbroken.”
Williams came to the Bay Area as a teen and attended Redwood High School in Larkspur then studied theater at the College of Marin. Williams owned a home in San Francisco’s Sea Cliff neighborhood.
“Despite his success, he has never forgotten San Francisco. He was a philanthropist who gave generously, and he was a friend of the City,” said San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee.
“San Francisco is heartbroken by the tragic loss of Robin Williams who forever changed the world with laughter and joy. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time of mourning.”
The actor was often spotted in public with his three children, Zelda Rae Williams, Cody Alan Williams, Zachary Pym Williams, throughout the Bay Area. He recently posted a photo on Instagram of himself holding his daughter, Zelda Rae.

Williams has been open about the challenges of maintaining sobriety. He sought treatment in 2006 when he relapsed and returned to drinking after 20 years.
He had been battling severe depression recently. On July 1st, Williams visited the 12-step program at a Minnesota facility to recharge after more than 18 straight months of work, according to his publicist.
Mara Buxbaum said Williams was “taking the opportunity to fine-tune and focus on his continued commitment, of which he remains extremely proud.”
From his breakthrough in the late 1970s as the alien in the hit TV show “Mork and Mindy,” through his standup act and such films as “Good Morning, Vietnam,” the short, barrel-chested Williams ranted and shouted as if just sprung from solitary confinement. Loud, fast, manic, he parodied everyone from John Wayne to Keith Richards, impersonating a Russian immigrant as easily as a pack of Nazi attack dogs.
Williams starred in the CBS series “The Crazy Ones” and the film “The Angriest Man in Brooklyn,” which was released in May. He had several other projects in the works, including another installment of “Night at the Museum.”
He was a riot in “Mrs. Doubtfire,” or as a cartoon genie in “Aladdin.” He won his Academy Award in a rare, but equally intense dramatic role, as a teacher in the 1997 film “Good Will Hunting.”
He was no less on fire in interviews. During a 1989 chat with The Associated Press, he could barely stay seated in his hotel room, or even mention the film he was supposed to promote, as he free-associated about comedy and the cosmos.
“There’s an Ice Age coming,” he said. “But the good news is there’ll be daiquiris for everyone and the Ice Capades will be everywhere. The lobster will keep for at least 100 years, that’s the good news. The Swanson dinners will last a whole millennium. The bad news is the house will basically be in Arkansas.”
Following Williams on stage, Billy Crystal once observed, was like trying to top the Civil War. In a 1993 interview with the AP, Williams recalled an appearance early in his career on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.” Bob Hope was also there.
“It was interesting,” Williams said. “He was supposed to go on before me and I was supposed to follow him, and I had to go on before him because he was late. I don’t think that made him happy. I don’t think he was angry, but I don’t think he was pleased.
“I had been on the road and I came out, you know, gassed, and I killed and had a great time. Hope comes out and Johnny leans over and says, ‘Robin Williams, isn’t he funny?’ Hope says, ‘Yeah, he’s wild. But you know, Johnny, it’s great to be back here with you.’”
In 1992, Carson chose Williams and Bette Midler as his final guests.
Like so many funnymen, he had serious ambitions, winning his Oscar for his portrayal of an empathetic therapist in “Good Will Hunting.” He also played for tears in “Awakenings,” ”Dead Poets Society” and “What Dreams May Come,” something that led New York Times critic Stephen Holden to once say he dreaded seeing the actor’s “Humpty Dumpty grin and crinkly moist eyes.”
Winner of a Grammy in 2003 for best spoken comedy album, “Robin Williams — Live 2002,” he once likened his act to the daily jogs he took across the Golden Gate Bridge. There were times he would look over the edge, one side of him pulling back in fear, the other insisting he could fly.
“You have an internal critic, an internal drive that says, ‘OK, you can do more.’ Maybe that’s what keeps you going,” Williams said. “Maybe that’s a demon. … Some people say, ‘It’s a muse.’ No, it’s not a muse! It’s a demon! DO IT YOU BASTARD!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! THE LITTLE DEMON!!”
A forensic examination is currently scheduled for August 12, 2014 with subsequent toxicology testing to be conducted.

Der Hollywoodstar und Komiker Robin Williams ist tot. Offenbar habe Williams sich das Leben genommen, erklärte die Polizei von Marin County in Kalifornien. HENRY CRANDELL was born in the town of Schettacoke, Rensselaer County, N.Y., Sept. 22, 1795. He is a son of Eber Crandell, who was a native of the town of Cold Spring, Sutchess County, N.Y., having been born there in the year 1755, the latter’s father having lived and died there. His father, James Crandell was of English ancestry, settling on Long Island before the dawn of the seventeenth century. Eber Crandell, above mentioned , removed from Schettacoke to Argyle, Washington C., this State, when Henry was an infant, and settled there as a farmer; twelve years thereafter removing to Scipio, Cayuga Co., N.Y., where he remained a few years and then sold his farm and came to the town of Ulysses, now in Tompkins County, and from thence to the part of Catharine now included in Veteran, about 1832, and there remained until his death, which occurred while on a visit to Ann Arbor, Mich., when upwards of eighty years of age. Henry Crandell at an early day served a seven years’ apprenticeship to the carpenter and joiner trade, which he has followed, in connection with agricultural pursuits, most of his life.
On the 18th of October, 1816, he was married to Eliza, daughter of Colonel Charles Hill, of Madison Co., N.Y., the result of this union having been five children, viz: Charles, Humphrey, Diana, Susan and Amos Wilson, the latter alone surviving, the third and forth named having died in infancy. Mr. Crandell removed from Ulysses to Veteran with his family in the year 1827, having been induced to emigrate by the prospect of the construction of the Chemung Canal, the progress of which he had been watching for some three years. While in Ulysses he, in company with his brother, purchased a mill property for $6000, paying one-half down and mortgaging the property for the balance. A freshet washed away the dam and carried with it most of the mill stock, in consequence of which the mortgage was foreclosed, leaving Mr. Crandall $500 in debt. By persevering industry and the strictest economy he paid this all up in five years; and that, too, while working at one dollar a day, he in the meanwhile supporting his family.
Politically, he came on the stage in old Whig time, and on the formation of the Republican party he adopted their platform, and has ever stood firm to its principles. He has held the various town offices from supervisor down. He has never affiliated with any religious denomination, although he has been associated more particularly with the Society of Friends, of which his wife was an exemplary member, and widely known as “Aunt Eliza.” She was a most estimable lady, of fine education, a good discourser, and of great social worth. She died in 1867, in the sixty-eighth year of her age, and fifty-first of her marriage. Mr. Crandell is now in his eighty-fourth year, and resides with his son, Amos W. He is well preserved and possesses all his faculties, his eyesight alone being somewhat impaired. The writer of this sketch found him in the field husking corn in the fall of 1878.
Among the public works with which he was identified mechanically were the New York Central Railroad from Rochester to Auburn, the Chemung Canal, and the Northern Central Railway (formerly the Chemung Railroad) from Watkins to Elmira.
The life and character of the gentleman of whom we have written presents many incidents and traits worthy to be followed, and offers a bright example of what a good citizen ought to be.

Colonel Levin Crandell died yesterday at his home, 139 Beaufort street, Jamaica, aged 80 years. Colonel Crandell was born at Easton, N.Y., but lived for many years in Brooklyn, and was, for the past twenty-two years a resident of Jamaica. In both places he was well known. Throughout the Civil War Colonel Crandell served with distinction.
Until the battle at Gettysburg he was lieutenent-colonel of the One Hundred and Twenty-fifth Regiment, New York Volunteers. Although his regiment participated in twenty-four battles, among which were some of the greatest in the war. After the war Colonel Crandell was engaged in business in New York City.
He retired fourteen years ago. Colonel Crandell was a member of John A. Rawlins Post, No. 80, G.A.R., of Manhattan. He is survived by his widow, Carrie Mitchell Crandell and two sons, Albert and William. Funeral services will be held at the home of the deceased to-morrow evening at 8 o’clock.
Internment will be in the National Cemetery at Cypress Hills on Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. from the Amsterdam Evening Recorder, June 18, 1907: Colonel Levin Crandell Dead.
