MY LITTLE DAUGHTER (24) HAS A NEW TEDDY BEAR AND LEFT PAPPA BEARS NEST. Pappa Bear is HAPPY and SAD AT THE SAME TIME on RexAdventureTube.

When she was 2 feet tall I was around 6 feet tall. So, her Papa Bear was the equivalent of being 18 feet tall from her perspective. Daughter Bear and Papa Bear played all the time. Fun stuff that was all new to Daughter Bear. Play, Play, Play. She had unstoppable enthusiasm for everything. When she was experiencing a new and fun event she would have a slight grin on her face as she soaked in all the fun or joyful event had to offer. Then pause and think analyze what transpired by running “the instant replay video” through her mind to see that she understood the event in every detail.
She was always confident, self-assured and was smart as a wizzard. From an early age of 4 or 5 years old, she had an uncanny ability to solve problems (or malfunctions) in systems or situations that other people could not even understand what was going on.
I took her jogging with me on Mt Diablo and the SF Bay To Breakers jogging race since she was 2 or 3 years old on her stroller. I was freqently commanded to go “Faster Papa. Faster”.
It was fun teaching her to read, do math and from a early age we bought Daughter Bear educational computer software games. She played soccer and other sports in grade school.
In high school I took her with me to Mexico to live with a Mexican family while we both were at a Spanish Language school. We had lots of fun boating and tubing in an aluminum boat. Later we used a 21 foot fiberglass boat and went boat camping up the Amazon River ( actually it was the Sacramento River). We went so far up the river our prop began to be rocky bottom blender machine.
We went backpacking and had a blast. She always wanted to be the leader on the trail.
For her summer breaks in high school she worked at Camp Concord at South Lake Tahoe. She learned how to lead the camper troups, work with camp counselors from around the world and how to get hungry wild bears away frpm the ‘city slicker’ campers and campettes from the low flat lands country.
She learned to: wake board, skate board, snow board, rock climbing, ride horses, run the hell out of all terrain vehicals in the sand, work on bicycles, shoot her own shot-gun, how to shoot a rifle, work on cars, work on computers. She even used to fly a real live four seat airplane with Papa Bear, even though she was not tall enough to see out the windshield.
I bought her a tool box and stocked to with various tools so she could resolve mechanical problems on her own.
You could not do things (or make things) for her because she said “Me do it” and ya better let her ‘do it’ or else you would be in negotiations until she could “do it”
She dragged Papa Bear around Europe and even twisted his bear arm into studying the German language. She went through a cave or tunnel the middle of a real cold glasure. She rode the depths of the Straights of Dover by taking the tube under the English Channel. She climbed up and onto a 6th floor tin roof in Paris to watch the fireworks being fired off from the Eiffel Tower at night to cellebrate the Bastele Day in France.
I could go on and on and on, but I think you get the idea. She means the world to me. I would lay down my life to protect her from harm. Gee, looks like I need a paper towel to dry my eyes for some reason.
Now Daughter Bear has a new teddy bear and moved out of the Bear Cave she has always called home and moved to a new Bear Cave with her teddy bear.
The story will continue, but this is a milestone at the Bear Colony.
I’m deeply moved by Daughter Bears optimistic ‘onward and upward’ constant motion.

The electric ‘Solowheel’ rolls into Luxembourg

Could this be the new way of getting around town?

The Solowheel certainly turned a few heads and raised a few eyebrows when we tested and filmed it on a sunny day in Luxembourg City.
.

The principle is that of a Segway. It uses a gyroscope and electric motor to keep the vehicle in an upright position; lean forward and you move forward, lean back and it stops or even goes backwards if you’re lucky.
.
.
Where the Solowheel completely differs from a Segway is it has only one wheel, obviously.
.
There are no handlebars to hold onto, the size is very compact meaning you can carry it anywhere, and learning how to ride it takes a bit longer.
.
In fact for the latter point it is like learning all over again how to ride a bike.
.
As you’ll see in the video it looks very easy when Denis Zago the General Manager of LuxInov, the only Solowheel distributor for Luxembourg, EU., whizzes around the Place d’Armes. But, as soon as I attempted, all dignity and panache was gone as I fumbled to even stand on the thing!
.
Will Solowheel take off in Luxembourg to be a fun ecological way of getting around town?
.
Only time will tell!

It is like learning a whole new method of mobility, by learning a whole new set of rules.
.
As there’s nothing to hold on to, you feel very vulnerable and I clung to Denis as he walked me around the City, much to the amusement of onlookers.
.
He produced an orange strap used for training purposes when you first get the machine and therefore giving you a little more security, but I still wasn’t getting it.
The expert then explained that it takes about an hour to learn how to ride the Solowheel and then it suddenly clicks.
.
This could well be the vehicle’s good point as a challenge for people to learn making it more than just a method of transport but also a fun and almost toy-like thing.
However, it could have the opposite effect whereby interested buyers are put off if they can’t get on it and instantly speed off into the sunset.
.
Only time will tell!
.
When it is being used properly, the user does look quite cool, able to use their hands for other things.
.
Denis took a phone call on a tour around Grand rue while being in complete control of his Solowheel, and let’s be honest, Segway riders look a bit nerdy and cumbersome, well I think so anyway.
Denis Zago, General Manager of LuxInov shows just how easy it is to use.
.
Like all electric methods of transport the Solowheel is ecological. It can travel a distance of about a 15km at a maximum speed of about 16km per hour, if you are of average weight that is.
.
Of course if you run out of battery you can simply get off it and walk while carrying it like a briefcase, all be it an 11kg briefcase.
The price of it may put some people off at 1,890 euros, but it is little-known and early days yet, so who knows, the price may fall as Solowheel becomes more popular.

In a country known for its high-tech ‘smart loos’, a Japanese exhibition dedicated to what gets flushed down them and featuring a giant toilet slide is making a splash in Tokyo.
Children wearing poo-shaped hats slid excitedly down a chute into a lavatory standing five metres high, following the “Journey of Poo” at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.
The aim of the exhibition, which also includes a chorus of singing toilet bowls, is to educate visitors about sewerage, health and waste.
An angry lavatory asked out loud what would happen if the world’s loos refused to do their jobs, encouraging toddlers to say ‘thank you’ after flushing.
Children also lined up to make their own poop from plasticene, while giggling couples enjoying an unusual date also took the opportunity to sport the popular brown hats and slide down the toilet.
